LAHORE: Legal Awareness Watch (LAW) organised a one-day training workshop on focusing on juvenile justice and the capacity building of relevant stakeholders.
The workshop saw active participation from legal practitioners of Toba Tek Singh police officials, jail administration Toba Tek Singh, and other concerned actors in the juvenile justice system.
During the interactive workshop, stakeholders discussed various legal and procedural aspects of the Juvenile Justice System Act 2018, including child protection mechanisms, legal safeguards, and institutional responsibilities.
The session was led by the director of Legal Awareness Watch, who also serves as the chairperson of the Juvenile Justice Committee of the Lahore Bar Association. The lead trainer delivered comprehensive training aimed at equipping the participants with essential knowledge and practical tools to effectively handle cases involving children in conflict with the law.
